After the recent rash of violence on Grand Avenue, sirens once again brought concern on the corner of Grand Avenue and Linden Avenue. Thankfully it appears someone started, and ended, the New Year celebration a bit too early and enthusiastically and all ended well.

Chris Garvin Cavagnaro was relieved to learn the cause of the sirens, “Oh, that’s what all the sirens were about! Thank you all, SSF PD, FD, EMTs!” Another South City resident Janel Chrestensen Pearson agreed, “We were there! This guy was definitely in the wrong time zone!

Everything South City joins in thanking all those working tonight; PD, Medics, DPW, Bar Tenders, Cab Drivers, Restaurant & Hotel Folks, Musicians & DJs, Hospital Staff, Bridge Toll $ Takers, Operators and the list continues!
