Discover and Go
A new program announced by our Library Director Valerie Sommer is just in time for summer. Discover and Go is a wonderful new program allowing South San Francisco Library Card Holders to make reservations, print passes, and get discounted tickets, online, to many great adventures waiting outside your door. Better still, some of the event passes are free!
What? You have no internet access? Not to worry. You can visit the library or call them and your event pass will be reserved for you. How sweet is that? (Library phone number (650) 829-3860)
Destinations will probably change some over time and more will be added. The initial offerings include the following:
- Aquarium of the Bay
- Asian Art Museum
- Bay Area Discovery Museum
- Cartoon Museum
- Exploratorium
- Lawrence Hall of Science
- Marine Mammal Center
- Museum of Craft and Folk Art
- Oakland Museum of California
- Oakland Zoo
- San Jose Art Museum
- Yerba Buena Center for the Arts
To access this new program go to this online site http://discover.ssf.net and search by date or by venue. Follow the directions to reserve and print your pass. Your ‘PIN’ is the last four digits of your phone number. For more information contact our Library at (650) 829-3860.
If you use this service, let us know what you think. We will be doing a ‘GAME ON’ to award a winner that shares a photo with us from their special Discover & Go adventure. Will it be you? Stay tuned!
