Recent Crimes Reported At Tanforan Shopping Mall
South San Francisco, CA June 2, 2013Many of our residents frequent the Shops at Tanforan and in the effort to keep folks informed with recent happenings we are sharing information from the San Mateo Daily Journal Newspaper. Please be sure to be mindful when in public, watch your surroundings and report anything suspicious to the police by calling 911.
There have also been a seemingly large amount of ‘smash & grab’ auto break ins and it is a good reminder to keep items out of your car and into your trunk. Kris Peradotto checked in with Everything South City today to say he saw two vehicles in the Towne Center with smashed windows during daylight hours.

Man arrested for indecent exposure at Shops of Tanforan

A South San Francisco man was arrested after a woman saw him masturbating in his car at the Shops of Tanforan at about 2 p.m. Friday, according to police.
The man, identified as Jacob Soto, 21, drove off but was located by police based on the vehicle description. Officers found a loaded firearm in the trunk, according to police.
He was arrested for indecent exposure and possession of a loaded firearm in a vehicle.

Woman hands over purse in armed robbery

A woman was approached by a man with a gun in the San Bruno Target parking lot Thursday night before giving him her purse, as demanded, according to police.
At about 6:20 p.m., San Bruno police responded to an armed robbery call at 1150 El Camino Real. The victim, who had just exited her vehicle, was approached by a man with a handgun who demanded her purse, according to a press release by San Bruno police. After handing over her purse, the suspect got into a waiting vehicle — a champagne colored four-door Oldsmobile Cutlass — with two others inside and drove off, according to police.
The three suspects were described as black and in their 20s. The man who brandished a gun was wearing all dark clothes, was about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighed 160 pounds, according to police.
