SamTrans Bus Schedule Changes For The Summer

SamTrans Service Changes Begin June 16

South San Francisco, CA June 11, 2013
June 16, SamTrans will change seven bus routes to improve on-time performance and better serve customers. The changes also reflect seasonal adjustments due to reduced demand for service near schools on summer vacation. SamTrans reviews and adjusts its schedules three times a year to respond to changes in traffic patterns and customer demand.

Due to summer vacation the following school routes will not operate between June 17 and Aug. 9: Routes 16, 35, 36, 43, 46, 53, 55, 58, 72, and 73.

For schools in session during the summer, the following routes will have some summer school day-only service: Routes 17, 24, 83, 85, 141, 260, 262, 295, and 296.

Regular non-school day service will continue to operate for Routes 17, 141, 260, 262, 271, 295, and 296.

Adjustments will be made to the following routes:

Coastside: Route 17

North County: Routes 38, 120, 121, 122

Multi-city: Routes 292 and 295

On Route 120 earlier and later service will be added every day. On weekends, adjustments of up to 24 minutes earlier or 16 minutes later will be made to improve on-time performance.

On Route 122, earlier and later service will be added every day.  Adjustments of up to 20 minutes later or six minutes earlier will be made to northbound service. In the morning, the bus will come every 30 minutes instead of every 20 minutes.

Awesome! I feel like my voice has been heard finally! Been pleading with samtrans to offer later service in the serramonte area and they have finally done it! I hope its not just temporary for the summer and I could only ask that service run just a bit later but we are headed in the right direction!
