National Night Out in South City

A night created to get folks outside to meet up with those in their neighborhood

Hey people when you are out this weekend take a minute to talk to some of your neighbors and make plans for Tues Aug 6 for National Night Out. This is ONE night a year that is nationally recognized and supported that we turn the porch light on and go outside and actually…. OMG – TALK to our neighbors!
Most of us are good at the casual ‘Wave’ but this is a great opportunity to put something together for block parties or simply pull out a few chairs and chat.
We are only as strong as our neighborhood!! Make plans and share them here. ESC will be doing a GAME ON to help support neighborhood plans so start making some of your own now.  Keep it simple and enjoy your night.

Here are some ideas:

• Turn on your porch light
• Sit outside with a cooler & lawn chair
• Introduce yourself to your next door neighbors
• Let your kids put out a lemonade stand
• Take a walk around the neighborhood
• Grill out or order a pizza & share with friends
