Graffiti at Orange Memorial Park

7.2013 Graffiti Orange Park

South City resident Armando Leigh wrote to ESC about the recent tagging at Orange Memorial Park

Armando Leigh just posted this photo along with this question:
‘Does anyone know which department we can contact regarding graffiti removal? This one is on the fence in the large dog walking park at Orange Park.’

We are re-posting this to 1. thank Armando for looking out 2. Let you all know to report this stuff when you see it so we can get it taken care of sooner than later. There are always complaints about public places not looking good, here is a solution short of calling Stanley Roberts and People behaving badly.

If the area is public contact Dept of Public Works at 877-8550. If you have a photo such as Armando had go ahead and email it to them at web-pw@ssf.net with the location and any other info you have. Thanks for looking out folks.

Anyone else see a lot of this tagging around town?

Carole Brady-Duport responded, and others agreed, ‘Quite a bit on Centennial Trail. All along, but more near BART SSF. Grrrr.’

One day after reporting this graffiti the city was busying with removal. WTG.

Armando checked back in with us the next day, “*Big props to SSF Parks department. After less than a day of reporting, the graffiti at Orange Park Dog Park is being removed.  A very nice gentleman name Gary was takin care of business.”

Big thanks to Armando Leigh for not only looking out for graffiti in our city, but then reporting it. And now following up to let us know how easy it was to find resolution:

ESC reminds folks if they see graffiti or other unsightly things in our city please contact our DPW giving them a description and location of the situation. If graffiti related, PD will take photos for records, and then crews will remove the offending tags. Contact Dept of Public Works at 877-8550. If you have a photo such as Armando had go ahead and email it to them at web-pw@ssf.net with the location and any other info you have.
