Pacifica American Legion Post 238 is sending care packages to troops overseas who have no store/PX to purchase items from. If you’d like to donate or know a group who wants to collect items, we are in need of the following: beef jerky, gum, individually packaged assorted nuts, breakfast bars, canned tuna, Crystal light powder packets for water bottles, sunflower seeds, tootsie pops, small packets of baby wipes, shaving cream, shaving razors, hand sanitizers, Tylenol/Advil, nose drops, small packets of Q-tips, stick deodorants, toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine hygiene products, white athletic socks, batteries (size AA and D) and playing cards.
We have collection canisters you can drop donations off to no later than November 5th at City Arms Gun Shop or Oceana Market, both in Eureka Square Shopping Center.
To make a monetary donation to help cover postage, you can send a tax deductible check to: American Legion, 555 Buel Avenue, Pacifica, CA 94044. Please put the word “CARE PACKAGE” in the memo section of your check. Thanks for supporting our troops!
