UPDATE: MATSUMOTO IS NOT RUNNING although her names remain on the ballot. We need a committed candidate to serve the 2 year term; Martin or Post continue their campaign
Everything South City had made available the questionnaires that our city council candidates had answered for the San Mateo Labor Council along with the Candidate Statements that were filed by each candidate in our City Clerk’s Office.
After receiving a call from the Labor Council requesting we not publish this information as they believe they are internal documents, Everything South City has made the determination to remove them from the public view at this time. Upon checking other sources we have found these documents to be available through other avenues outside of the Labor Council and may surface in other formats.
Everything South City c0ntinues working to keep our residents hooked up with information that impacts their lives. We believe the information within these questionnaires fall within that purpose. To that end we will work with our candidates and the information available to give our voters as much information as possible. In addition we are working to host a community meet and greet with all the candidates that choose to participate allowing our residents the opportunity to gain as much insight as possible when making decisions on this upcoming important election.
In addition the City of South San Francisco and the Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the Candidate Forum in two parts;
Monday Sept 30 will feature candidates running for the 4 year term of which there are 3 seats open;
Addeigo, Goodman, Gupta, Lock, Mac Kay, Normandy, Ochsenhirt, Prouty
Tuesday October 1 will feature candidates running for the 2 year term of which there is 1 open seat:
Martin, Matsumoto, Post
The debates will be held at the MSB 33 Arroyo Drive and available for viewing on the city website as well as on community TV channels 26/27.
Below are the Candidate Statements as filed with our City Clerk for the candidates running for the 4 year term. Voters can choose up to three of these candidates.
