Hispanic Heritage Month Sept 15-Oct 15

If you were downtown on Sunday afternoon you saw all the celebrations going on in front of city hall as part of Hispanic Heritage Month, which is observed September 15 through October 15th.  From our city:

Sur San Francisco Unidos invites you to celebrate “LAS FIESTAS PATRIAS” Sunday 1:30 in front of City Hall
‘Enjoy a day of folkloric dance, music, and songs commemorating the independence of Chile, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, México, Nicaragua, and Brazil. Participate in our gateway for a better life. Attendees will be able to receive diabetes and blood pressure screening, and information about exciting and healthy community programs.

In addition our South San Francisco Unified School Board has also pasted this resolution acknowledging this month long observation.
