And it’s on! And for the first time in the 52 year history of South San Francisco’s High School rivalries, the BELL GAME will be hosted at El Camino High School thanks for Measure J Funds which have been used to build a new state of the art field. The new field was started last May and things are pretty much in place for the inaugural game this Saturday.
Coach Jake (Eric Jacobsen) is quoted as saying, “As an Athletic Director I need to look ahead. After 53 years El Camino is playing the BELL GAME at HOME. One of the biggest events in the history of El Camino Athletics is happening on November 16th 2013. For the first time ever the BELL GAME will be played at El Camino. The Little Bell Game starts at 11:00, and THE BELL GAME KICK’S-OFF AT 2:00. We are expecting a BIG crowd.” In addition there will be a dedication between games. Because of the large crowds expected, get there early!
The COLTS are offering a very special package for loyal COLT fans: $20.00 you will receive a special Bell Game 2013 Inaugural Game at COLT FIELD ticket & a BELL GAME T-Shirt. The shirts come in two styles Black or Grey. The sizes are Medium – 3XL.

To order yours go to the COLTS facebook page and comment on the post, says Coach Jake. “Add your Name / Quantity of Tickets/T-shirts/ Sizes. I will then set your t-shirts and tickets aside so you can pick them up. We will be selling these starting Tuesday at lunch to our Student Body. I will make a list and have the tickets you want as well as your shirts ready to be picked up. You can pick up your ticket and t-shirt Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday in front of the main office at El Camino 12:30 – 1:30. Please have cash and exact change.”
While the COLTS hold high expectations that they will win the BELL this year, they have already won with field presentation. Coach Jake has continued to work hard for this field to come to be and has followed up each step of the work that has been done.
Everything South City salutes the Coach and all of those who have put so much time, energy and dedication into seeing this much needed field become a reality.
