Frank McAuley, President of South San Francisco’s Sister City Committee,  finalized fundraising plans last evening as he meet with the committee to discuss how South City can best aid the victims of  the Haiyan typhoon.  We are happy to announce the upcoming Philippine Relief Night Benefit slated for Friday December 6th at the MSB 33 Arroyo Drive.  This evening’s event will include a Filipino Buffet, wine and beer, DJ, and local performances.  The cost of this event is $25 for adults, $15 students, $10 SSF Sister Cities Youth Chapter.

With many international aids focused on providing food, water and clothing for Haiyan victims, Shelter Box focuses on providing temporary shelter through durable tents and light weight survival necessities.  With 11.8 million people affected, 243,600 houses destroyed and more than 921,212 displaced, Shelter Box is working towards providing shelter, warmth and dignity to Haiyan victims. ”
