Daly City Police Officers step up to help elderly neighbor

South San Francisco, CA  February 24, 2014

With so much bad news hitting us on all media fronts this was some very welcomed good news from Daly City Police Department. Everything South City posted this on our FB page where nearly 100 neighbors agreed – WTG to Officers Cisneros & Williams.  We need more ‘feel good’ stories in our lives!

From Daly City Police Department

‘Too often, we only hear negative comments about police officers. Here’s a “feel good” story worthy of sharing. On 2/19/14, an older Spanish speaking woman came to the Police Department to report the fraudulent use of her ATM card. When she reported it to the bank, she told them she wrote her PIN on the card, and therefore the bank would not reimburse the $480 that she lost.

The woman receives $800 a month and her rent is $400. The woman was upset because she said she would have trouble paying for food and medicine. Senior Detective Albert Cisneros and Officer Jamal Williams took it upon themselves to assist her by taking her to the grocery store and buying her food to last her for a while. The woman was grateful and cried over the friendly and generous gesture of both officers.’

Goes to prove that there is good people out there to help. Best to both officers.
I know Albert from the good old airline days on Union Square.
