It is sad to share we have lost another great South City leader, Tom Galli died on February 11th at the age of 93. He has left a tremendous legacy for us all. Services are this Thursday at All Souls. More details below including comments from neighbors as they were posted on our public facebook page.

Entered into rest on February 11, 2014 at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Mae B. Galli; loving father of the late Carole A. Galli; brother in law to the late Lodovico Brunetto and Betty Brunetto; uncle to many loving nieces and nephews ; survived by many loving cousins and friends.

A native of South San Francisco for 93 years who served in the So.S.F. Fire Department and retired as Fire Captain. A veteran of the US Navy during WWII working as a hard hat Diver, a lifetime member and man of the year of the So.S.F., Historical Society, member of the So.S.F., Fire Museum, member of the Italian Catholic Federation Br.7, brother of YMI Council 32 and member of the Sons in retirement Br. 91.
Friends and family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass, Thurs., Feb., 20th, 10 a.m., All Souls Church, 315 Walnut Ave., So.S.F., and Committal, Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Colma. Contributions may be made in memory of Thomas P. Galli to the All Souls Church and School Fund, 315 Walnut Ave., So. S.F., CA 94080 or charity of your choice . Condolences may be made at online HERE

Allen Galli So sorry to hear of Tom’s passing. My dad, Joe, worked with Mae at Cal Water and I attended All Souls with Carole though she was ahead of me. Condolences to his friends and family.

Captain Galli was a great man who trained many, many South San Francisco Fire Fighters. Including me, Russ Lee, Retired SSF Fire Chief. Capt. Galli was always a patient, devoted and caring individual who continualy had South San Francisco’s best interst at heart. His legacy to this City will always be remember. Thank you Tom for your life long devotion and interest to to Fire Depaertment and helping me become a SSF firefighter. RIP my friend.
