Home Invasion Robbery (arrests made on two adults and one juvenile suspect)
On Monday, February the l0th , at about 9:35 a.m in the morning, three teenage victims were playing video games inside a bedroom at a residence on the 800 block of Commercial Avenue . They heard the sound of pounding on the front door and a window shattering. They saw two suspects outside the residence. At that point, they called an adult relative who told them to lock themselves in the bedroom .
About 15 minutes later, they heard the sound of an intruder rummaging through the inside of the house. One of the suspects, forced the bedroom door open and brandished a knife at the victims and ordered the victims not to move. The suspect then took the victim’s property.
Through the course of the police investigation a suspect was identified as Enrique Cruz. Officers and Detectives went to the suspect’s residence. While at the residence, a juvenile suspect attempted to flee the residence by jumping out of a second story window. He was quickly apprehended and found in possession of stolen property from the victim’s residence.
During a search of the suspect’s residence, additional stolen property belonging to the victims was located. During the course of the investigation, a third suspect was identified as Percibal Alberto. Alberto was located and stolen property was found at his place of residence.
All three suspects were arrested. The juvenile suspect was arrested for obstruction, possession of stolen property, and probation violation, he was booked at Hillcrest. Enrique Cruz was determined to be the primary robbery suspect and was booked at the main jail on several felonies. Alberto Percival was arrested for conspiracy , burglary, and possession of stolen property.
The suspects involved in this crime knew the three victims and specifically targeted the victim’s residence. (Italics ESC)
