SSFPD Media Release; Residential Burglary

On February 13, 2014 at approximately 11:55 pm, Esvin Zabaleta entered into an occupied dwelling on the 400 block of Third Lane. Zabaleta contacted the resident who was alone inside of her home. The resident was able to lock herself inside of her bedroom and call the police department. South San Francisco Police Officers searched the residence and located Zabaleta hiding inside a closet.

Zabaleta was placed under arrest and transported to a local hospital for medical treatment due to being under the influence of a controlled substance. Zabaleta was later medically cleared and booked into the San Mateo County Jail for burglary and being under the influence of a controlled substance. Zabaleta is 39 and unemployed.
