SSFPD Media Release: Commercial Burglary

On Saturday morning, March 1, 2014 around 3:01 AM, the South San Francisco Police Department receieved an alarm activation at La Tapatia Taqueria, located at 411 Grand Avenue. When officers arrived they discovered one of the doors to the business was open.

While searching the business, officers found South City resident, 24 year old Julio David Matute-Pineda inside, while he was trying to force open an interior door that led deeper into the store. The business management confirmed Matute-Pineda was not one of their employees and had forced entry into their store. Matute-Pineda was arrested for Commercial Burglary and booked into the Magurire Correctional Facility in Redwood City and is being held without bail.
