On Sunday morning, April 27, 2014 at around 3:20 AM, a 40 year-old South San Francisco woman reported her ex-boyfriend, Wilbert Interian-Rodriguez, aged 36, tried to kill her at her residence on the 200 block of Holly Avenue.

The investigation revealed the two had been arguing; but when the victim attempted to leave the apartment, Interian-Rodriguez physically blocked the door.  Interian-Rodriguez then obtained a large, serrated kitchen knife and held it against the victim’s throat while threatening to kill her.  To prevent the victim from calling for emergency help, Interian-Rodriguez  destroyed the victim’s phone, as well.

Interian-Rodriguez was arrested and charged with attempted murder, making terrorist threats, false imprisonment and destroying a telephone to prevent calling for emergency help.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the South San Francisco Police Department at (650) 877-8900 or call the Anonymous TIP Line at (650) 952-2244.
