Officers Hand out 67 Click it or Ticket Citations

The South San Francisco Police Department Traffic Unit conducted a “Click it or Ticket” seatbelt and child restraint seat enforcement detail on Friday May 9th.   Three specially trained officers conducted enforcement all day long.  Officers handed out 67 citations to motorists for failing to wear their seatbelt.  One driver was cited for being unlicensed and one driver was cited for driving with a suspended license.

Officers from the South San Francisco Police Department will be conducting additional special enforcement details looking for seatbelt violators in the coming weeks and months.  Motorists are reminded that the nationwide “Click it or Ticket” enforcement period is coming up in a few weeks.  Wear your seatbelt!  Itjust might save your life.

Funding for this operation was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
