Paving Repairs on State Route 82 (El Camino Real) in South San Francisco and Colma


San Mateo County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will begin work on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 to grind and repave the roadway at Post Mile 20.08 to Post Mile 22.4 from Arroyo Drive to 0.2 miles north of Arlington Drive in the City of South San Francisco and the Town of Colma in both the northbound and southbound directions.


Two northbound lanes will be closed from 9:00pm to 8:00am; two southbound lanes will be closed from 8:00pm to 7:00am, Monday through Friday, from Arroyo Drive to Hickey Boulevard.


One northbound and one southbound lane will be closed from Hickey Boulevard to Mission Avenue with the same days and hours. One lane will remain open at all times during construction.


Portable Message signs have been placed throughout the construction area stating “Night Work”. Paving will be completed by mid June, 2014.


Motorists are advised to expect minor delays and to use alternate routes. Please be alert for workers and “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
