Advisory of Potential Traffic Impacts – Divas Half-Marathon Sunday Morning June 1st
The Divas Half Marathon Series is one of the fastest growing women’s running/walking half-marathons in the US. On Sunday morning, June 1st, the Divas will be hosting a Half-Marathon which will run through the cities of Burlingame, San Mateo, and Foster City. The race begins and ends at Bayside Park in Burlingame. The majority of the 13.1 mile race will occur on pathways and streets along the SF Bay shoreline between Coyote Point and Mariner’s Island Boulevard in San Mateo. The route enters into Foster City at Mariners Island Boulevard and J. Hart Clinton Drive, where it turns back through San Mateo to the finish line in Burlingame.
Burlingame, San Mateo, and Foster City Public Safety personnel and Divas Event Course Marshals will be positioned throughout the course to provide for safety, and assist pedestrian and vehicle traffic in the affected neighborhoods. Mobile message boards will also be in place to provide direction.

TRAFFIC IMPACTS
During the early morning hours (6am to 11am), moderate to heavy traffic impacts may be expected in the following areas:
In Burlingame –
Airport Boulevard from US 101 to Anza will be closed to traffic until the event concludes around noon.
Airport Boulevard south to the San Mateo City Limits will experience lane closures during the hours of 6am to 9am.
Anza Boulevard form Airport Boulevard east will be closed from about 6am to 9am
In San Mateo –
The exit ramp from Northbound US 101 to Peninsula Avenue will be closed from about 7am to 9am. Message sign boards will be posted along Highway 101 redirecting Northbound 101 Traffic. The Northbound Highway 101 on-ramp from Airport Blvd will remain open.
Lane and road closures will create traffic impacts in the Coyote Point area between the hours of about 6am to 8am
Surface Streets in North Shoreview San Mateo:
Temporary road closures will be in effect on westbound Monte Diablo Avenue west from the Bay Trail to Quebec St, south on Quebec to Peck Ave., and south from Peck Ave. into Ryder Park from 7:15am until about 9:30am. . Efforts have been made to reach all neighborhood residents and brief them on the potential parking traffic impact during the race.
J. Hart Clinton Drive from San Mateo into Foster City:
J. Hart Clinton Drive (the lane adjacent to Seal Point Park) from Ryder Park to the terminus in Foster City will be closed for runners. Officers will be stationed at the entry to Seal Point Park, at Detroit Drive, at Anchor Road, and Mariners Island Blvd in order to assist with traffic. Message sign boards will also be posted along J. Hart Clinton Drive requesting drivers to slow to 25 mph.
THE BAYFRONT TRAIL FROM COYOTE POINT TO FOSTER CITY WILL BE CLOSED TO BICYCLISTS FROM 7AM TO 11AM
All areas will be re-opened to auto and bicycle traffic once the last runners have passed through that section of the course.
