SSFPD Media Release: Armed Robbery & Suspect Pistol Whipped Unconscious

On Sunday, June 15 2014, a half hour past midnight, a 41-year-old male victim parked his vehicle on the 400 block of Cypress Avenue, when he was approached by two masked gunmen. Both suspects were armed with shotguns and one of them had an additional handgun. The two suspects forced the victim out of his vehicle and assaulted him. The suspects then placed the victim in the backseat of his own vehicle and pistol whipped him in the head, rendering him unconscious. The suspects fled the scene after stealing several of his personal belongings. The victim later drove himself to Seton Hospital after gaining consciousness.

 

One of the suspects was described as a slender Hispanic male adult in his 20’s. He was approximately  5’9″ and was wearing a black mask, silver chain, black pants, and a gray hooded sweatshirt with a leaf design on the front.

 

The other suspect was described as a slender Black male adult in his 20’s. He was approximately 5’9″ and was wearing a black mask, black pants, and a black hooded sweatshirt with white “Nike” in white lettering.
