SSFPD Media Release: Strong Armed Robbery

On Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at approximately 3:25PM, a 46 year old, South San Francisco woman was robbed by three assailants. All three assailants were later identified and arrested.

The 46 year-old female victim (name withheld for confidentiality) was walking south bound on the 800 block of Hickory Place, when she felt a suspect come from behind and pull on her purse. The victim struggled to hold onto her purse,but subsequently let go after being punched several times in the face by a second suspect.There was also a third suspect present at the time of the robbery.The three suspects were seen fleeing on foot westbound on the 400 block of Aspen Avenue, after they stole the victim’s purse.During a subsequent police investigation, all three suspects were located and arrested.Two of the suspects were adults and one was a juvenile. All three suspects are believed to be local gang members and all three were arrested for gang charges in addition to the robbery charge.

The victim sustained injuries to her face,chest, and back and was transported to a local hospital for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries.

In jail without bail is  Eric Beda-Perez (age 21, 190lbs at 5’11’).  Nicholas William Rodriguez (age 18 180lbs 6’2″)is being held on $150,000 bail. Both men are South City residents and unemployed. The third suspect, being a minor, is not identified publicly.
