South San Francisco Hosts Public Meeting on Grand Avenue Street Resurfacing Project
South San Francisco invites the public to an informational meeting about the Grand Avenue Street Resurfacing Project on Wednesday, August 27 at the former Ford Dealership, 315 Airport Boulevard from 8:00 am to 9:30 am.
The public meeting will include a brief presentation about the Grand Avenue Street Resurfacing Project covering project description and schedules, and construction impact. The Public Works Department and the City’s contractor, Telfer Highway Technologies, will take comments and address issues related to the project during the public meeting.
“The Street Resurfacing Project will keep our streets healthy and safe,” said Public Works Director Brian McMinn, “resulting in a higher quality of life and more activities and business on Grand Avenue.”
The Grand Avenue Street Resurfacing Project aims to increase the service life of streets, reduce major street maintenance operations and provide greater drivability for vehicles. The project is expected to begin late September or early October and will be administered in segments to avoid extended street closures.
