The community is welcome to WORSHIP IN THE PARK Sunday August 31 at 10:30am at Orange Memorial Park

A group of 7 churches will be holding their 2nd annual “Worship in the Park” event at Orange Memorial Park the Sunday before Labor Day on August 31, 2014 at 10:30am. This multi-church effort stems from a collaborative effort by a group of local South City pastors who began a monthly lunch meeting several years ago.The idea for a joint service spawned out of those meetings.

Last year’s event was very successful, emphasizing the theme of unity with churches focusing on being THE church of South San Francisco while downplaying individual congregational affiliations. See highlights from 2013 when approximately 600 attended last year, with an equal or greater turnout expected this year. Seating is limited, but the casual environment warrants bringing a camp chair or blanket and just mixing it up with others in a positive, uplifting, spiritual environment.

A multi-church choir and worship team will lead in music with multi-lingual prayers being offered and a message offered by long-standing South City pastor, Rev. Michael Coutts of Hillside Church of God, the catalyst for the original monthly pastor meetings. Children’s ministry will be available during the service (for pre-K thru 5th Grade) and individual churches will be selling food, drinks and desserts afterwards.

Please help spread the word and join in on this very special event.
