*August 13th: There has been a break in the water service main pipe on Manzanita and water service has been shut off for that block and possibly others in the service area.
One neighbor said they were told they could be w/o water for 8-10 hrs (as of 6pm or so this evening)
David Hernandez says ‘Flood on Manzanita’ while another neighbor shared “We are at least putting it to good use!! Look at everyone using buckets/bowls to water their lawns!!!” and we say WTG!
##
This is why it is so important that our infrastructure be upgraded, especially the transmission water pipeline that crosses Westborough and is being upgraded.

Recently we had neighbors report excessive dirt being blown into the air and on their property from the SSFHS field renovation. We brought this matter to Councilwoman Liza Normandy and she has provided this contact for neighbors to use to help bring resolution to any concerns. Thanks Liza!

*BACK TO SCHOOL BLUES: OK – so far who has cried more this morning- the kids or you? back to school crying
Does anyone take the traditional first day of school pictures each year? How fast they grow!

John C. Baker Oh, it’s the kids crying, of course. On back-to-school morning the missus and I always clink our coffee cups together in celebration.

Lilian Xiomara Sanchez I do!! I took pictures every year to see how my daughter grows each year

Angela Silva We did and I’m so glad we have the photo, these are little milestones. No tears and I still got to give him a kiss on his cheek in his 4th grade classroom

Erica A. Hernandez One kid happy to see her friends again, one kid miserable. I torture them every year with the “first day” pictures!

Deborah Ann Portillo glad they are back

*SUPERMOON; As dusk turns into night time we thank Michele Wilson & Sonny Koya for  sharing  Sunday’s Supermoon. While not quite as big/ bright tonight, it still will be incredible. Those up in the early morning may get treated to the meteor shows shining through – if we have clear skies.

Principal Rapaido will have a meet-and-greet tea time on Monday (Aug. 11) at the SSFHS Library at 4 p.m.

With a new principal and two new vice principals on the B Street campus, it’ll be an interesting transition and I have faith that it’ll be successful.
