South San Francisco Extends Free Wi-Fi Access to Public Guests

Beginning August 1, 2014, South San Francisco will begin providing free wireless online access to public guests at City facilities. Visitors can now connect with the City’s public Wi-Fi network at City Hall, 400 Grand Avenue, the Municipal Services Building, 33 Arroyo Drive, the Joseph A. Fernekes Building, 781 Tennis Drive, and the Community Learning Center, 520 Tamarack Lane.

 

Wi-Fi connectivity at the Municipal Services Building has been upgraded to include the Council Chambers, Foyer and the Social Hall. Wi-Fi connectivity at the Joseph A. Fernekes Building will also receive an upgrade before the end of the year to include Orange Memorial Park.

 

South San Francisco uses technology to promote and encourage civic engagement with residents through easy, free, access to information 24 hours a day. Through the use of the Internet, people can view GIS maps, watch live and archived City Council and Planning Commission Meetings, check the status of permit and plan inspections, download forms for licenses and permits, sign up for email notification services, register complaints and suggestions and much more.
