SSFPD Media Release: CHILD ANNOYANCE

On August 7th, 2014 at about 12:03pm the South San Francisco Police Department received a 9-1-1 call from an unidentified16 year old female walking on the 200 block of B Street in South San Francisco.The juvenile said she was being followed by an unknown male in a silver colored 4-door vehicle. The driver of the  suspect vehicle was described as a Hispanic or Asian male in his 30’s with no further description. The  juvenile reported the suspect tried to lure her over to his vehicle and asked her if she had a boyfriend. The juvenile was afraid for her safety and ran to a near by residence where a resident  and a witness helped her call the police to report the incident.

While the police were responding to contact the juvenile, the resident escorted the juvenile over to the Centennial Way footpath. From there, the juvenile said she was okay and she left and walked home. The police department searched the area for both the juvenile and the suspect,but they were not located.
