Dear Colma Resident:I am running for City Council because like you, I love this city and I want to ensure that Colma remains the best city in which to live, work and play. There are two seats open during the upcoming election cycle in November and although the incumbents have over three decades of experience, it is time for change.I intend to use my four years of experience serving as City Treasurer to “hit the ground running”. I will bring my perspective as a working professional, wife and mother toward protecting our unique quality of life in Colma.

I was born and raised in San Francisco where I met Tom, my husband of 21 years. We moved to Colma in 2003 where we are raising our two children, Brenden and Sarah.

My early community involvement included: Sunshine Garden’s and Alta Loma PTA treasurer, Project Read Donation Coordinator for The South San Francisco Library, and hosted a table at the Colma Historical Association Tea Fundraiser for the past three years.

As a City Council candidate, my top priorities include:

  • Public Safety- Ensuring that police and fire service have the resources they need to protect our neighborhood

  • Fiscal Responsibility- Investing your tax dollars wisely

  • Quality of life – Enhance community programs that keep seniors and children active and healthy

As I embark on this exciting journey, I look forward to meeting with you and hearing your ideas about how we can work together to keep Colma moving forward.

Feel free to contact me by email at [email protected].

Please vote for me.

Sincerely,

Laura Walsh
