The District is happy to inform the South San Francisco community that the new El Camino High School track and field facility will be open to the public starting Monday, September 22, for individual use

Members of the public are asked to help preserve the investment in the facility and remember this facility cannot be damaged. Rules regarding use of the track and field (i.e. no vehicles, dogs, alcohol, etc.) are posted at the entrance to the facility and must be followed. Also, no organized activities can be held without an approved permit from the Facilities Department.

Hours

The track and field facility will be open to individuals during the following scheduled times:

Monday – Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to sunset

Sunday – 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

In all cases, please remember that any school activity takes priority. In the event of a school activity during open times, the public may be asked to refrain from using the facilities.

We are very proud of our facilities and expect them to last, with the help of the general public, for many generations of students.

Please report any misuse of the track or field, by calling the Facilities Department at (650) 877-8718.

I just went to use the track at El Camino HS, but it was locked (I tried both gate entrances). Someone there told me they lock it right after school. Do you have to make special reservations to use it?

Very excited to hear the track will be open again. As an ECHS track alumni who lives in the neighborhood again, it’s still my favorite place to go for a track workout!

Thanks!

I agree with Stephanie. It is up to all of us to keep it looking like the asset it is. No bottles, beer cans, and trash. I want to have a this gem open for all to enjoy.
