Resurfacing of streets to start week of September 8th

South San Francisco, CA   September 4. 2014  Submitted by Rosalie M. Calvo SSF Engineering Dept

The 2014 Scrub & Micro-Surfacing Project will perform rehabilitation of approximately 3.9 million square feet of streets. The streets affected are all west of El Camino Real except Grand Avenue, which will be repaired from Spruce Avenue to Airport Boulevard. The contractor will start distributing flyers to affected residences and businesses on September 2, 2014.

Surface repairs will start the week of September 8 and all work, including restriping of streets, should be done by the middle of October unless weather conditions prevent work from being completed as scheduled.

The project was awarded to Telfer Highway Technologies of McClellan, California.

Any questions can be directed to the Engineering Division at (650) 829-6652.

Thank you to Rosalie Calvo for providing us with the following lists which will allow neighbors to know in advance which streets in our city will be worked on. Please remember that weather conditions may change this schedule. Click on each ‘photo’ below to enlarge the print.

Thank you to SSF Scavengers for this update as well:

Collection days will not be affected by the street resurfacing. If your collection day also falls on the same day as the resurfacing, please still put out your containers the night before. Also keep in mind containers may be serviced earlier or later in the day depending on the street closures.

Curious if/when Alhambra will be resurfaced. Al of the surrounding streets have been resurfaced in the past few years, and Alhambra was skipped over. I do not see Alhmabra listed for this round either, so I am curious why it gets skipped?- and when we can expect it will be resurfaced?
Thank you!

Why isn’t Lacrosse being resurfaced? Our street has not been resurfaced for many years. This is the second time we’ve been passed over. Our street relative to the crossed streets looks bad. Thanks.

I don’t understand why Theresa is being redone so soon after last time either.
Mary is right.
LaCrosse should be done first.

Thanks for the reply. I did call the 6th of Sept. and NEVER received a call back for the “project Manager”. My Husband and I spoke to the workers who were resurfacing Zita and they did not know why our Street was not getting resurfaced nor did they understand why it wasnt’.

These Schedules only tell us about the Scrub dates.
What about the resurfacing?
The signs on our street (Theresa Drive) list 9/8, 9/9 & 9/10.
