Hosts Community Open House

When:  Sunday, October 12, 2014, 11:00AM- 2:00PM

Where:  500 East Jamie Court (off East Grand Ave and Haskins Way) South San Francisco, CA 94080. Ample parking is available.

What:  In celebration of their 100-year anniversary, South San Francisco Scavenger Company (SSFSC) invites the community to an Open House featuring activities for the whole family. Visitors will love playing the recycling games and exploring SSFSC’s trucks, balers and other equipment. Guided tours will offer a close look at the whole facility, including the award-winning green buildings, 4R Learning Center, recycling sort-lines and the brand new anaerobic digester, set to convert food scraps and yard trimmings into compost and clean fuel for SSFSC’s collection vehicles. Light refreshments will be available.

Who:  Members of the public and the media are invited to this free event. SSFSC particularly welcomes members of the communities it serves, including South San Francisco, Brisbane, Millbrae and Colma.

Why:  SSFSC is celebrating 100 years of providing solid waste and recycling services to local communities. Since 1914, the family-owned company has been known for its outstanding service and innovation.

My name is Roberta Jewel Ford Widow of Frank Joseph Ford. His father is buried in Holy cross in 1963, his mother was to be buried when she passed away but did not have the means of shipping her body back to S F. So she was cremated and not put in the same plot as husband Frank J Ford or Frank Joseph Ford . I believe his wife My mother inlaw ‘ parents were also buried there James J Nugent and his wife Catherine Mae Bond Nugent. If possible would love to be able to get some pictures of the graves for grandchildren and great grandchildren for their genealogy and some closure of haveing grand and great grand parents that came to America and Settled I have been searching for a long time if you could send me info on how to be able to send for the info or pictures of the graves would be very appreciated many Alohas to you … Sincerley Widow Mrs Roberta Ford .5220 176th st sw Unit #8 Lynwood Washington 98037
