One of the reasons Everything South City is such a success is the real time updates our neighbors receive from each other on our Social Media outlets such as Facebook and Twitter. Last evening, Thursday October 23 around 8pm there was a report of an explosion. We checked our go to source, Firedispatch, and saw that there was an explosion in San Bruno as well as a Full Response for a house fire in the same neighborhood. We put the question out on our main FB wall and below is the exchange between our neighbors.
Brad Rosinski gave us the update;
The explosion was a transformer that blew. That was the source of flames. The full assignment was for the same thing but the caller reported that their house shook. PD at this same time had a call on the CalTrain tracks for a man down which tuned out to be Halloween decorations that someone placed on the tracks. NOT a funny prank.
We also would like to publicly thank Brad Rosinski for always being there sharing information that he picks up through his radio system. Rosinski is grandson to our former SSFFD Captain Richard John ‘Ski’ Rosinski, and son of retired Firefighter John Rosinski. Brad is a founding member of the Hazardous Weather Response Team and we continue to appreciate his quick updates when we have questions in our city. A side note, Brad and his team have created a GOFUNDME page to help them raise money for new radios – it is a very worthy cause and every few bucks help.
