BART Transit Village Development Public Hearing City Council January 14

South San Francisco, CA   December 28, 2014  Submitted by City of South San Francisco

South City Station – 1256 Mission Road Housing Development

The Planning Commission recommended that the City Council approve the project. The project is tentatively scheduled for the January 14, 2015 City Council meeting. (ESC notes the council agenda will be posted on the City website on January 9 and can be accessed CLICK HERE. That link will also bring you to the City’s live stream of the meeting on January 14th)

The proposed site is in a transit oriented development area and is directly across the street from the BART station and one block from El Camino Real. It is walking distance from a grocery store and El Camino High School. The development consists of 31 Townhomes and 4 Single Family dwellings. Seven of the 35 residences are earmarked for low- and moderate-income families. The two bed-room affordable units are expected to sell between $210,000 and $460,000. Buyers will be selected through a lottery. More information on the lottery and qualifications will be posted after the City Council takes action on the project.
