Judith Bush Elected President of South SF District Board
Judith Bush is the new president of the South San Francisco Unified School District Board of Trustees. She was elected to the post Wednesday night; the vote was unanimous.
She will continue in that role next year. She takes over for Maurice Goodman who served as president in 2014. In addition, Patrick Lucy was elected vice president and Goodman was elected clerk.
Three board members, Rosa Acosta, Rick Ochsenhirt and Lucy (originally appointed to the board) also were ceremonially sworn in in the aftermath of their election to the governing body in November.
Separately, former board member Philip Weise was honored by the board for his more than 17 years of dedicated service with the District. He also received resolutions of commendation from the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors and the California state Legislature.
Ex-board president Goodman was honored with a resolution of thanks from his board colleagues as well.
