On Saturday, January 10, at 0643 hours, two pedestrians crossing between intersections on El Camino Real in South San Francisco were struck by a passing motorist. Both pedestrians were walking together and were transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Southbound traffic was blocked on El Camino Real at South Spruce Avenue for approximately 25 minutes while the South San Francisco Police Department investigated the collision.

Residents are cautioned to always utilized crosswalks and traffic signals, especially when crossing multiple lanes of busy roadways.
