SSFPD Media Release: Residential Burglary on Cork Place

On January 19, 2015 around 9:00 am, a South San Francisco resident arrived at his home on the 3700 block of Cork Place. As he entered his residence, an African American male followed him inside and claimed to be with the Water Department. The suspect instructed the victim to turn on all of the water faucets to conduct a test. While the victim was doing as instructed, the suspect covertly stole several items of jewelry and left the residence.

 

The suspect is described as an African American male, between 30 to 40 years of age, approximately 5’9″ and was wearing all black clothing.

 

Residents are to be reminded that utility company employees generally do not enter homes without prior notification. If in doubt verify identification and contact the utility company for confirmation before allowing anyone into your home.
