A timeline for appointing a new principal for El Camino High School has been established.
During a Feb. 11 special meeting of the South San Francisco Unified School District Board of Trustees, it was decided that the following schedule will be utilized to find a replacement for former El Camino interim principal Linda McDaniel, who has resigned due to an investigation into suspected financial irregularities:
Jim Murphy, a former principal at the District’s adult school and continuation school, will serve as an interim principal at El Camino until the end of February; after that, the school’s three assistant principals will share decision-making duties there through March and into mid-April; a District administrator will oversee the work of the three assistant principals during that period.
The District hopes to have a new principal selected and on board at the school by April 15.
