Man what a Game tonight in the Old Gym on the hill at El Camino High School in South San Francisco. I’m mentally and physically exhausted just from doing the PA. The El Camino Lady Colts just came up one second short,(depending who you talk too) in a round II CCS play-off game.
It was a hard fought well played game by the Leland Chargers of San Jose and the Lady Colts of El Camino. With one second left and the game tied at 46 the chargers got off one last shot and it fell thru the hoop as the buzzer sounded. I was so proud of the effort given by our Players, Coaches, and Fans who showed up to support the Colts tonight. I wanted that win so bad for these girls and staff for they worked so hard all year. I feel sick right now, and I just wish the game had turned out different, but that is life.
You cannot always get where you want in life no matter how hard you work, or want something. The true measure of a human being is to be able to handle set backs in life, and keep moving forward. The easy thing is to point the blame at the Officials, or blame everyone else but themselves. I know this coaching staff and group of girls won’t do that, for they are fighters, and they will move on and be better human beings for it. I have never thought that sports build character, they reveal it.
I was proud how the girls and coaching staff handled this tough defeat tonight, and I can say there effort made me be proud to be associated with El Camino.–COLT PRIDE

Varsity Girls Basketball Team Our Varsity Basketball Lady Colts are headed to the CCS Play-off’s. El Camino is seeded #8 with a 9-12 record and The Lady colts will Host the #9 seeded 13-11 Leland Chargers. Tip off will be at El Camino Thursday Night February 26th at 7:00. Be there or be Square!
