PGE UPDATE – VENTING NATURAL GAS IN SSF

Scheduled Date: Tuesday, April 28
Work to be completed:  Release of Natural Gas to Atmosphere
Approximate Time: Between 3:30 pm and 6 pm (depending on work progress)
Duration: Approximately 1 hour
Location: Martin Station (Geneva Avenue and Schwerin Street, Daly City); W. Orange Avenue and Southwood Center, South San Francisco; & Hillside Boulevard at Holly Avenue (San Bruno Mountain, Colma)

Depending on the location of gas venting and weather patterns, there may be a smell of natural gas. The pipeline is cleared of gas utilizing a safe and common technique.  As part of our normal protocol, we have and will continue to notify the appropriate public safety agencies, businesses and residents of this work.  We are taking steps to mitigate noise and odor and have scheduled the work to create the least impact possible, however it is likely that the work will result in some noise and odor.

Safety is our top priority and we encourage any resident who has questions or concerns about the smell of gas to call us 24 hours a day at 1-800-743-5000 or call 9-1-1 immediately.

Our customer care group has notified customers in the area via automated call.
