SSFPD Media Release: Assault with deadly weapon

On April 3, 2015 at approximately 06:35 PM, a black Sport Utility Vehicle, possibly a Chevrolet Tahoe or GMC Yukon, approached the intersection of South Maple Avenue at Tanforan Avenue and parked. Approximately 8 Hispanic males exited the vehicle and approached a South San Francisco resident. The group identified themselves as Norteno gang members, accused the South San Francisco resident as being a rival gang member, and physically attacked him. During the attack, a member(s) from the group stabbed the victim and were last seen fleeing the area northbound on South Maple Avenue.

 

The group was described as 8 Hispanic Males, between the ages of 15 to 25 years of age, wearing predominantly black clothing. One of the subjects was also wearing a red San Francisco 49er ball cap.
