Unsupervised High School party results in felony thefts

South San Francisco, CA    April 3, 2015

Homeowners want their treasured items returned and do not want to see any of our youth charged for this felony crime

Homeowners want their treasured items returned. They do not want to see young lives ruin with felony charges.

On Sunday March 29th, a teenager from the neighborhood near Spruce School in South San Francisco  held a party that was unknown to the parents which soon became out of control. The parents have reported $25,000 worth of items stolen including wedding rings and the children’s baptism jewelry, electronics and other items. The parents are concerned the teens who stole these items are not aware that this is now a felony case, and when they are apprehended and charged, could ruin young lives.

“My concern is that these kids do not realize it has become a felony offense that can ruin their future if they do not return the stolen items.”the parent said.  “Please help prevent ruining their future and ask the communities help in returning these stolen irreplaceable items.”

“We do have some solid leads in this investigation” South San Francisco Police Lt Keith Wall said. “This is an active case and the communities help is appreciated.”

Although the parents provided a list of suspect names, most of whom are students attending South San Francisco High School, Everything South City will not be publishing them. We also reach out to the community and to parents of High School Students to be aware of any new jewelry or money your child may have in their possession. To those who walked away with this families treasures, please contact the SSFPD anonymous tip line to work out returning these items 650-952.2244

In addition this should be a warning to all parents and guardians to be vigilant in knowing what your teens are doing, where they are going, whom they are inviting into your home, and any suspicious behavior such as new items or cash they have in their possession.
