South San Francisco police are investigating a vandalism case which occurred at El Camino High School involving a swastika. On Monday, June 1, school officials discovered that someone had used available outdoor field tiles to create a swastika on the football field. The tiles (and symbol) were immediately dis-assembled and police were notified.
The last day of the 2014-15 academic year at El Camino was May 28 so classes were not in session at the time the incident is believed to have occurred or when it was discovered. The athletic field had been scheduled to be closed through June 7 before the symbol was assembled and found. An investigation into the incident, which is believed to have occurred over the past weekend, has begun.
Anyone with information involving the matter can call the South San Francisco Police Department at 650-877-8900.
