The Medeiros Story
Paule and Christina had their first date back on October 3, 2004. From the moment they met it was apparent that love was in the air. They were married in Los Angeles in 2007 where they committed their lives together.
Everything seemed perfect until they received devastating news in April of 2013. Christina was diagnosed with stage 4 rectal cancer. At that time the cancer had spread to her liver and pelvis. After four major surgeries, radiation treatments, and extensive chemotherapy Christina went into remission in August 2014. Christina could not have done it without the help of her loving husband and the staff at UCSF. For Paule and Christina, life finally seemed to be returning to normal.
Last month, Christina went in for a routine breast exam that came back with abnormal results. Christina was found to have a golf ball size mass in her breast. After testing it was confirmed cancerous. Once again the Medeiros family will have to fight cancer while still trying to recover from the first battle.
They are looking at more surgeries and chemotherapy treatments at UCSF. With mounting medical bills this will not be an easy road for this great family. Let’s all pitch together and help them beat this disease. Christina has done it before and she knows she can do it again.
Paule has been working as much as he can to help keep up with the ever growing bills, but that also takes away his time from Christina in her time of need. I’m hoping our family of firefighters and public safety professionals can help this family in need. Please pitch in whatever you can.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and let’s all help Christina beat cancer once and for all….. GO FUND ME CLICK HERE
