The Marine Mammal Center has reported another dead humpback whale has washed up on a Pacifica beach, this one near Esplanade Drive. Another humpback was found on Sharp Park Beach in May and a sperm whale washed up on Mori Point in April. Necropsy reports have not determined the cause of death.
UPDATE: The carcass was towed out to sea after tests revealed the death maybe attributed to blunt force consistent with being hit by a ship.
