Look around and you’ll see the City celebrating its heritage the week leading up to the birthday by:
• Lighting up City Hall
• Displaying a Happy Birthday banner on the City Hall balcony
• Displaying Happy Birthday signs along Grand Avenue
• Free treats in City Buildings, complements of Gimbal’s, Sep. 14 – 18, 2015

  • Main Library at 840 Orange Avenue – Monday-Sunday, see hours here
  • Parks & Recreation front desk – Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm
  • Police Station – Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm
  • Fire Station #61 – Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm
  • Permit Center – Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm
  • Engineering – Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm
  • City Clerk’s office – Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm
  • City Manager’s office – Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pmJoin us Saturday, September 19th at the Farmers’ Market at Orange Memorial Park from 10:00am – 2:00pm:
    • Participate in a coastal clean-up (Utah Ave. Bridge and at end of Haskins Way) in the morning and then come have cake!
    • Face painters, balloon artist, big bouncing house for children
    • Cake cutting by Mayor at 12:30pm in the J. Fernekes Building followed by ribbon-cutting of two sculptures dedicated to the City
    • FREE parking all day in the Miller Avenue garage downtown
    Be a part of our “Faces of the Community” digital picture.
    Go to the Municipal Services Building, 33 Arroyo Dr., SSF from Aug. 20th – Sep 8th and take your picture in the photo booth located in the Atrium – or – from Sep. 8th – Sep. 19th, the photo booth will be in the Main Library at 840 W. Orange Avenue, SSF.
