A community meeting, the first of three, regarding the installation of permanent lights at El Camino High School will be held Sept. 22 at 6 p.m. in the school’s Little Theater. The new lights are scheduled to be in place at El Camino’s football facility by next fall. According to El Camino Principal Daniel Lunt, lights will allow the school’s student athletes to compete in the evenings and “experience the thrill of performing at a time when it is more convenient for parents and other community members to attend.”
The three community meetings are intended to provide opportunities for neighbors and others to ask questions about aspects of the upcoming lighting project. El Camino is located at 1320 Mission Road near the Colma border.
