Affordable Health Insurance Open Enrollment Starts Sunday

The 2016 enrollment period for Californians to sign up for affordable health insurance begins Sunday, Nov. 1.

Tens of thousands of San Mateo County residents will be able to join over four million people who now have affordable health coverage through California’s implementation of the Affordable Care Act and Covered California, the State’s health insurance marketplace.

The San Mateo County Health System estimates that more than 29,000 county residents ages 18-64 still need affordable health coverage and may qualify for financial help.

Select County and State health coverage programs are available regardless of immigration status. Call 650-616-2002 or see for more information. Enrollment counselors are available to help you. Bilingual enrollment assistance is available at offices in the following cities:

Daly City
East Palo Alto
Half Moon Bay
La Honda
Redwood City
San Mateo
South San Francisco

Insurance keeps you healthy and financially covered when you need it most. You may qualify for financial help! If you earn up to $47,080 annually or if your family of four earns up to $97,000 annually.
