Mike’s Musings: VOTE NO Measure W-acko Schemes

South San Francisco, CA                   October 3, 2015                       Submitted by Michael Harris

Measure W promises help for Seniors & Disabled. This is a Lie to get Senior & Disabled Votes.

They again promise to Fix the Potholes. Do they hope for the Skateboarder Vote?

When I needed help to care for my Mom after she broke her hip July 23, 2008, I could not find it anywhere in SSF /  SMC.

Mom bled to death from Kaiser malpractice Dec 11, 2008. I buried her at GGNC Feb 13, 2009, her 88th birthday with my Dad.

Dad was a USN Veteran June 1939 – June 1947. Dad was a Machinist Mate & Hard Hat Diver. Mom was a Secretary of War.

She worked at the Presidio during WW2. Dad completed a union Machinist Apprenticeship 1947 – 1951. He taught himself TV repair & Electronics from a Chicago Radio course.

Dad worked at American Bridge & Pipe Division of U.S. Steel at Oyster Point.

Loretta Sanchez’ parents had the same history. Her Dad was a Union Machinist. Her Mom was a Secretary.

Loretta is running for the Senate in 2016 against Human Rights Violator Kamala Harris.

Kamala trashed my Crime Victim Rights from the Oct 17, 2008 BART Assault against me by a drunk, who I subdued & arrested.

Kamala represents the Elite & is known as the HELL-ary Clinton of California.

All the agencies SSF funds to help people refused to help my Mom.

This included North Peninsula Neighborhood Services, Rebuilding Together, the Daly City group that purports to help seniors & disabled.

I filed SMC / SSF Elder Abuse complaints when I tried to help a neighbor 3 doors down the street in Sept 2014. I was retaliated against.

She passed away Thanksgiving Day 2014. She was 92 & worked for SSFUSD 22 years at the District Office.

A SSF City owned light pole hit my front porch Aug 20, 2009. There has been a cover up by City Hall, Public Works, City Attorney, Assistant City Manager (Kathy Mount), retired City Manager Barry Nagel, retired City Attorney Steve Mattas, current City Attorney, Risk Manager Jim Steele, Susan Kennedy, Gary Batis.

Jim Steele abused me Dec 11, 2014 when I visited City Hall & his office when he was still City Risk Manager.

After this bullying, intimidation attempt, & abuse, I visited Krista Martinelli. I informed Krista what Jim Steele had done to me.

I then learned Kathy Mount (who left city employment Aug 31, 2014) was doing double duty as Risk Manager & Assistant City Manager.

Who is on First?

Kathy Mount & Jim Kirkman had tried to solve this problem by finding a Pro Bono Contractor to repair the porch.

I learned this after Jim Kirkman retired, but before Kathy Mount retired.

Jim Kirkman referred me to an unlicensed Architect who did work for the city.

Why was SSF hiring an unlicensed Architect for city funded projects?

There were some major conflicts of interest in the Building Department.

Conflicts of interest continue.

Kathy Mount renewed her Law License June 14, 2014. By this time she knew she was not going to be in SSF much longer.

During her tenure in 3 – 4 different SSF jobs she showed great animosity for Pub Safety Employees, especially SSF FD Unionized Rank & File employees.

There are now 12 people involved in my front porch fiasco retired. I am without furnace / hot water going into my 5th Winter.

There will be no more accountability with Measure W “Wacko Schemes” than there was with Measure J “Junk Construction”.

The Measure J oversight board did not hold SSFUSD accountable. Now a Measure J Oversight Committee Member is on the SSFUSD Board.

Vote NO on both City Council Incumbents. Leaving that part of the ballot blank will reduce required needed signatures to recall SSFUSD Board & SSF Council Members in 2016.

Vote against Maurice Goodman for San Mateo County School Board. Maurice was a large part of the SSFUSD problem. We have our very own Al Sharpton on the School Board.

Maurice told me at a Buri Buri Measure J Bond meeting: We could not afford to remedy the construction noise problem. We would go broke.

Maurice applied for a job with one of the Solar Contractors that bid on the $24 million Solar Panel Fiasco.

Maurice used the Press to go after people he disliked on the Great El Camino Noose Incident.

I filed a DOJ Civil Rights complaint on this incident.

These two Football Players racial bullying a student started a Million Dollar fiasco.

Cal Builders has a Resident Be Damned attitude toward City Residents.

SSF PD needs a Employee / PD Officer Committee of only SSF PD City Residents to promote improvements.

Other Departments need similar committees. This should include staff as well as sworn officers.

SSF should be divided into Council & SSFUSD Districts so residents can elect their representative.

We would have more representative government.

There should be 3 council members from West of El Camino & 2 council members East of El Camino.

Council terms should be 2 years. Two council members are elected in even years.

Three council members are elected in odd years.

Her Majesty’s Tammany Hall Politics would be much curtailed. Vote against Her Majesty this election.

City Managers not from SSF should retire Dec 31, 2015. This includes: Jim Steele, Brian McMinn, Sharon Ranals, Valerie Sommer, Luis DaSilva.

Brian McMinn brought SSF the LED Streetlight Fiasco. I will soon file an ADA complaint with an Unruh Civil Rights Complaint against Brian McMinn.

Brian removed my sample LED light which worked well in retaliation for my filing complaints on the LED lights. This violates the Unruh Civil Rights Act of 1959.

Alternately these city managers can buy homes in SSF. Brian McMinn signed the Measure W campaign flier.

Most of Brian’s sales tax is paid in Gilroy. This 30 years sales tax increase does not effect Brian.

Brian cannot even design a safe intersection at King Drive & JS. The plans were upside down.

This needs to be a 3 lane merge from King Drive > North on JS.

I attended that meeting.

I blame City Code Enforcement for the Buri Buri Construction Environmental Damage we suffered.

This should have been remedied by June 30, 2014.

All new City Employees should be SSF Residents. All Public Safety Employees should be SSF Residents.

We need to close the bars & liquor stores Downtown as well.

I have advocated Earthquake Retrofit for years. So far my pleadings have fallen on deaf ears at City Hall, Public Works, Building Department.

Mayor Rich Garbarino has ignored my pleas. I predict we will have another earthquake.

My pleadings to cut brush on El Camino Real have fallen on deaf ears. Some of this is County Jurisdiction.

The City Tree at 24 San Felipe Saga is typical of Parks & Rec / Public Works ineptitude.

Every PGE Power Pole on San Felipe should have a streetlight. This is not even very hard to do.

The Great SSF City Sidewalk Scam was pulled by retired Public Works Director Terry White.

SSF Council transferred responsibility / liability to residents 4 years ago, with no public notice in everyone’s mailbox.

Property owners are now responsible for maintaining city sidewalks.

Does this mean I can post warnings on the front lawn (make that weeds): Warning Dangerous Sidewalk?

City Hall’s War Against Residents in General and me in particular continues unabated.

File SSFUSD complaints with State Board of Education, SMC Grand Jury, U.S. Attorney Melinda Haag on Brown Act violations for the 2014 SSFUSD election.

The complaints should include channeling the Measure J Bond Construction to Swinerton Management Company. Redwood City Mayor Jeff Gee was a Swinerton VP.

We need a WEB-olution in SSF. Let it begin here.

I expect further retaliation against me for writing this expose of City Abuse of Residents.

I fully expect Her Majesty & Lady in Waiting will retaliate.

I suggest Council & SSF PD put every officer on the force out on Halloween between 1800 – 2100.

If one child is hit, you all have some major legal problems.

Does the expression: Culpable Negligence mean anything to you?

I still have not effected a safe intersection at Sequoia Drive & Old Mission Road where I was almost hit Dec 2014 by a driver not speeding.

He did not see me under the awful LED lights. That intersection needs two more stop signs.

The 38 watt LED lights should be replaced with 91 watt LED lights.

In front of El Camino needs a stop signal, not the silly flashing warning signs.

School Zone speed limits should be reduced to 15 MPH.

Moms in Suburban U-ssault Vehicles are a menace when delivering their children to school.

The SSF PD should address this problem.

The Buri Buri / Del Monte parking problem continues without solution.

SSFUSD caused this problem. Now SSF PD & City Manager need to solve it.

SSFUSD should be billed for SSF PD Security Services $100000 / year per Officer for each HS.

They can afford it. They just blew through $11 million on Foolishness Remediation.

Remove the Ceremonial Water Valve outside Council Chambers & replace it with a Low Flow Toilet & Shower Head.
