South San Francisco A.C. men’s soccer team begins new season!
SSFAC opens their 62 year of soccer in South San Francisco when they take on Outsiderz FC at San Mateo High School on Sunday morning with kickoff set for 10:15am. This is South City’s 58th year of playing in the Peninsula Soccer League.
The team has gone through a complete makeover as only 8 players return from last season, led by Goalkeeper Adrian Monroy and Captain Bobby Quinlan. SSF has added Jack Silva, Jason Crist & Fernando Costa from PCC of Half Moon Bay, Manny Uche of Club Sport Maritimo, and Matteo Lupini from Club Marin. In addition the team has bolstered their offensive punch with the additions of Brandon Butler, Thomas Eide and Carlos Ballesteros.
SSF begins the season on the road, but will look to return to El Camino High School for home games later in the month.
Admission is always free……so come on out and support the local boys in their quest for the Cup. Follow us here and also at www.ssfac.org as we update you on our progress throughout the 2015-16 season.
