Coaches Lou Zuardo and Carlos Roman to be Honored

South San Francisco, CA    November 4, 2015   Submitted by Coach ‘Jake’ Jacobson ECHS

A date has been set to honor Lou Zuardo & Carlos Roman’s retired numbers in a tribute which will be displayed at Colt Diamond high above the Backstop. The tributes will be very similar to the ones that were on the right field fence at Candlestick Park for Mays, McCovey, Cepeda & other’s. There will be white circles, with red text. One will read ZUARDO 23, and the other will read ROMAN 16. This tribute will be a permanent one which shall stand as long as they play Baseball at El Camino.

This tribute will take place on Saturday April 9th at 11:30 at Colt Diamond on the campus of El Camino. The Varsity will be playing a game vs. San Mateo at 12:00 noon. We would love to see you all out there to honor Lou and Los one last time. A

ny questions please e-mail Jake at [email protected]. I look forward to seeing you on Saturday April 9th 2016 at 11:30 at Colt Diamond–COLT PRIDE

Note: Earlier this year both Zuardo number 23 and Roman number 15 were retired during a ceremony during a Colt game. On October 23, 2015 COLTS through all the years came to pay tribute to these two incredible coaches. .

I Can Say About Calors Roman is That He is Legend AND Inisirpation. I was very glad and thankful to play with Macrus while we were on the snappers. I told Carlos that i wasn’t go bas runners in baseball Calros said you that you have to be better as a base runner to me. he would se me the battling cage at el camino while i was practing with el camino jv baseball team los say me hitting good in the cage los told the hitting was good he also told that i should always turn my hand, feet, hips and eyes so that i was so turning towards the baseball. in sophomore year los decide to come in to the locker room that it was going to be his last game as a colt manger some of my teammates thank him what has for el camino program.
